With the creation of Usanza Designs I have found the perfect way to express my passion for the art of adornment. Every design is out of pure love and each finished piece is a symbol of beauty.
I am a jewelry designer/metal smith, a painter, a photographer (kaizen nw) and a mother of an amazing little boy who keeps me present and full of sweet, sweet joy!!
I began my adventure sometime around 1994 fascinated with the ritual of adornment. I spent most of my free time studying & collecting jewelry from around the world. I was captivated by all angles of this ritual, wether simple organic cultural traditions or vibrant rituals steeped in ceremony, i was in love with the ritual of adornment. I spent time having designs produced by fair trade companies and then found my passion in being a part of the rhythm of creating each piece myself. Designing & sculpting fine silver & gold into wearable art then adorning each piece with faceted gemstones from around the world. My work is truly inspired by my personal love and fascination for the art of adornment!!
We at Usanza are committed to loving and supporting the environment by being as consciously sustainable in all of ventures as possible. We give back to the community by donating to local charities on a regular basis. Usanza Designs is devoted to each & every piece we create, as well as creating a personal customer service experience.
